The Pinball Luxury Suites

Developed by the young entrepreneur Simone Proietti Gaffi and Claudia Scarsella, the artist who created the wallpaper for the suites, The Pinball Luxury Suites is a boutique hotel that combines the most of Italian excellence with a fascinating and engaging old-style pastime: the pinball machine. The 15th-century building was renovated to create three guest suites, all furnished by Lago, and a unique pinball museum built around the collection of Giacomo Scarsella, the artist’s father and one of the top pinball collectors in the world. The Pinball Luxury Suites is committed to hosting and displaying the best that Italy can offer to the world in the 21st century and it is the perfect destination to enjoy a unique experience, including the quality of Italian-made furnishings and products for the interior. The Pinball machine, the hotel’s leitmotif, also inspired the art of Claudia Scarsella, who created a perfect atmosphere for the LAGO furnishings, chosen by the owners because adaptable to all settings and in tune with the clean, sacral lines of the building. The names of the three suites are also part of the celebration of the pinball machine: Little Robot is inspired by its robotic aspect, Spiral Circus conjures the fascinating world of the circus and Royal Cards references the theme of the playing cards.

In all the three suites, modularity and the possibility of customising LAGO furnishings combine with the artisanal character and the authenticity of the buildings’ architectural elements. In every room, the wallpaper designed by Claudia Scarsella lends a unique touch to the space, the subjects of her graphics having been drawn from the pinball themes and translated into original patterns.

The colours of the furnishings were inspired by the materials used for the architecture. In the bedrooms, the interior elements merge in perfect colour correspondence: in the Spiral Circus suite, the chromatic continuity between the wallpaper, the dark Wildwood shelves and the Et Voilà wardrobe creates a unique theatrical surface that clothes the walls. The theme of acrobats picks up the concept of suspension which is central to LAGO design.

At The Pinball Luxury Suites all the spaces were planned down to the centimetre and made to measure: in the Little Robot suite the suspended 36e8 kitchen, for example, runs along the building’s entire historical wall, continuing through a door opening to become a sideboard in the living room area.
