When design is about sharing, looking to the future and stimulating creativity
As a continuation of NEVER STOP RESPECTING TOMORROW, this year’s concept for the Milan Design Week, Lago is now the official partner of two events celebrating innovation and respect for others.
From 20 to 22 June 2019, at the 89th Pitti Bimbo, you will be able to find us at The Playful Living & Style Piccoli on the top floor of the main pavilion, as well as in the atrium on the ground floor with our corner stand. Our message is one of promoting a world in which our minds can run free, where creativity and growth are stimulated, in a safe and sustainable space.
Roundtable discussions, workshops and debates will ensue, bringing together specialists from the children’s product sector, professionals and visitors to share thoughts and ideas about the world of children’s design.
The philosophy behind LAGO’s Kids & Young collection is using design as a tool for educating children about beauty and a passion for life. It has seen children’s and parents’ dreams alike be transformed into furnished spaces including bookcases for drawing, colourful desks, beds like dens and floating wardrobes. Each and every item has been designed to create a sense of adventure, as a way of offering new experiences and growing knowledge.
We also decided to partner with Wired Italia again for the Wired Next Fest. This is all part of our quest for sustainability and innovation in our design work. The festival was held in Milan on 24-26 May and speakers took to the stage furnished by LAGO to explore original ways of approaching the key topics of the future and change.
Promoting shared and individual wellbeing, in public as well as private spaces, is a key focus at LAGO. The idea is to use design to create a homely feel in all of those spaces that stimulate relationship building and encourage people to connect.
