At the 53rd edition of Casa Decor in Madrid, the infinite possibilities of LAGO design have been translated into a contemporary, timeless Madrid home.
Starting on 15 February, if you find yourself in Madrid you will have an excellent opportunity to see and try out LAGO design! Together with the LAGO SPACE Madrid – Velázquez, we are participating in the 53rd edition of Casa Decor, one of Europe’s most exclusive interior design events.
The event is being held in the Chamberí district, in a stunning residential building built between 1901 and 1903 and characterised by regal, proportional and well-lit spaces. For this occasion, we have tried to create a space that synthesises the contrast between the liveliness of the Spanish capital and the search for a relaxing everyday retreat, with the aim of showing how the possibilities of LAGO design lend themselves to varying tastes, dreams and metreages.
The room, an open-plan space measuring 36 square metres, includes a living room and dining room.
The star of the living room is a large Air sofa for which we have chosen three sartorial materials ranging from powder pink to intense grey, playing with the modularity of the seats and balancing comfort and vitality.
Whether sitting or stretched out on the vast suspended sofa, the view is of a wall unit with doors in glass and pastel hues that alternates solids and voids, creating unexpected reflections. The space is completed by a wood volume that evokes the Wildwood of the table in the dining room. Generous and light to give shape and weight to the life that happens around it, the table is accompanied by four two-colour Pletra chairs that lend rhythm to the space. On the wall, a Lagolinea shelf frames convivial and everyday interactions, winding up to the ceiling in lively, irregular shapes that give the space movement and vitality.
The result is an elegant, contemporary space that inspires emotions and embraces the effervescent spirit of the Spanish capital.
